TOUCH is committed to empowering underserved communities in the Sundarbans through sustainable, impactful, and community-driven initiatives.
SCHOOL – Touch Vidya Niketan (Education for All)
Education in the Sundarbans is severely affected by isolation, poverty, and recurring natural disasters. Frequent floods, poor infrastructure, and high dropout rates limit children’s learning opportunities.
To address this, TOUCH is establishing TOUCH Vidya Niketan, an English-medium primary school in Jharkhali. With land already donated, we seek CSR support for construction, classrooms, and essential facilities.
Your contribution helps provide children with quality education, safety, and hope in one of the most vulnerable regions of West Bengal.
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT – Uplifting Women, Strengthening Communities
Our Women Empowerment initiatives are designed to help women become independent, confident, and self-reliant. Through structured training, awareness programs, and community engagement, we ensure women have access to education, resources, and opportunities.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT – Building Skills, Creating Opportunities
To address unemployment and limited livelihood options in remote locations, TOUCH provides structured skill development programs targeted at youth and adults. Our goal is to equip community members with the skills needed for financial independence and long-term economic resilience.
COMMUNITY KITCHEN – Ensuring Nutrition & Community Support
Many families in the Sundarbans face food insecurity due to frequent floods, cyclones, and lack of stable income. Touch Community Kitchen program ensures no one goes hungry by providing nutritious meals in times of need. Our Community Kitchen stands as a pillar of hope, ensuring dignity and nourishment for those who need it most.
